Hi All
We are letting go and letting go. The house is beginning to echo and our minds are beginning to quiet as things are disappearing from our life. I am still amazed at how distracting stuff is. I didn't think we had alot of stuff, but I guess we did. Myself and my family were not collectors really, especially during that country kitchen phase or the victorian phase, too much work, like dusting and stuff, yuck. I have found though that I have a weakness in my character in liking tormenting people who are gatherers or collectors, who visit with the intent of gathering or collecting and Rob or I suggest, we will be burning all our possessions or recycling etc. It absolutely drives some people nuts, much to my sadistic pleasure. My kharma is taking a bit of a tarnishing here, really.
What today's plan is for when we leave for our journey in January is taking a quick trip through the US: we have to drop off and visit San Diego Zoo, and DisneyLand. it is something that one must really do when you drive through there, I mean really one must pay homage to the grandest of all commercial Icons (I just so admire that little monochromatic rodent and his watches!) The second leg of the first journey is going to the Baja, where we will surf, swim with dolphins and walk on beaches. I'm a little mindful of snakes and scorpions in the Baja, but hey we have bear, cougar and rednecks forming clusters in Canada and we can avoid them. (the last one mentioned is easily avoided by going into a Starbucks and hiding behind a cinnamon doce or going into a new age spirit store and deeply nosing into a Deepak Chopra book.)
On this same said topic we had the dog innoculated and we will do the same much to our naturopathic dismay. But in this modern world and for the fact that we will be travelling in South America shortly, I hate to admit it but I think immunization is an evil neccessity. Besides, I don't think the highlight of our trip should include yellow fever or typhoid. Although Montezuma's Revenge can be quite colorful, noisy and interesting to read about because to allows for a great and versitile use of adjectives and adverbs, it is not an experience that the aflicted individual would say it was: enlightening or progressively changing. I have been on all sides of that coin, and only found it amusing or interesting when reading or writing or talking about it.
During this stressfull time of having separation anxiety and divorce from my stuff, we celebrated my birthday, thank heavens my parents reminded me or we would have missed it again. We always seem to move during my birthday, we will have to have a talk with Abraham-Hicks in that regard. I think it must illustrate that birthdays are all about moving forward with your life and enjoying the process of that forward motion.
Christmas is rapidly approaching which for us means our daughters birthday, yes she was the best christmas present we ever had. We are different in the way we celebrate special occasions, for example Santa vetoed our house and instead we get the Christmas butterfly and far more fun experience. This allows us to poke fun at various tradition and lighten up. We have also in the past been visited by the Easter Kangaroo, and the Birthday Platypus. We all realize that although maybe we should be a bit more serious in regards to the delineated box of festive celebrations, but we can't seem to control our desires to have fun in creating our own fun. Besides it is amusing seeing how other people react to it all. I know my kharma just took another hit due to my naughtly delight in other people's confusion. It is a good thing that I can laugh at myself moreso than others.
